Research on Carbon Dioxide Production

We have already studied the laboratory preparation of oxygen. Please recall, what are the methods of producing oxygen in the laboratory? In addition to oxygen, carbon dioxide is also a gas that is closely related to human production and life. So, how to make carbon dioxide in the laboratory?

In the laboratory, carbon dioxide is usually prepared by reacting dilute hydrochloric acid with marble (or limestone, the main component is calcium carbonate). The chemical equation of the reaction can be expressed as follows:CaCO3 +2HCl = CaCl2 +H2CO3.

Carbonic acid is very unstable and easily decomposes into carbon dioxide and water.

The overall chemical equation is:CaCO3 + 2HCl = CaCl2 +CO2+H20

Through the research of laboratory production of carbon dioxide and oxygen, we can summarize the general ideas and methods of gas production in the laboratory:

1. Determine the chemical reaction principle of gas generation, that is, under laboratory conditions (such as normal temperature, heating, adding catalysts, etc.), which drug to choose and what reaction to produce this gas
